Gleneagle’s story began in 1957, when a young Killarney family opened their doors to guests and welcomed the first visitors into what was then a modest country house. What started as a small family-run hotel has grown into one of Ireland’s most recognised destination hotels, but the spirit of welcome that shaped those early days still defines it.

The original house, formerly known as Flesk House, was built in the 1830s. When Paddy and Sheila O’Donoghue purchased the property in 1956, they saw more than a building. They saw potential for a home filled with guests, music, conversation and community. Within a year, Gleneagle was registered as a licensed hotel, and its doors have never truly closed since.

Tom Kelly Promotions Presents DAN McCABE in Concert

Dan McCabe burst onto the scene in May 2020 when a single YouTube upload—his favourite songs arranged in his signature style—went viral, racking up over 50 million views in just three months. He has since established himself as one of Ireland’s most compelling voices, blending the soul of traditional Irish ballads with contemporary folk.

Today, McCabe is riding the momentum of his chart-topping releases and high-profile performances. His debut self-penned single, Heaven’s Only a Touch Away, shot to #1 in early 2023, and his first studio album, Back to Life (October 2024), also vaulted to #1 on the iTunes charts. Fresh off those successes McCabe is in the studio crafting new material and collaborating with songwriters across Europe and North America.

On stage, Dan has already brought home three  sold out nationwide tours—played the Late Late Show twice in one season, and performed live from Áras an Uachtaráin on New Year's Eve by invitation of the president. He’s brought his stirring performances to landmark venues including Dublin’s Aviva Stadium for the World Cup qualifiers. Now, with a global publishing deal in place, he’s gearing up for his biggest tour yet, covering Ireland, Canada, Australia, and the UK throughout 2025.

With a devoted home following and an ever-expanding international audience, Dan McCabe continues to redefine modern folk music. Fans can expect unforgettable live shows and new releases as he takes his unique Irish-infused sound to stages around the world.
